In case you did not know, this is Fall Car Care Month across the country. That means this is the best opportunity to do some of those things to your used cars that you’ve been putting off all summer. In fact, a report conducted during April and October 2008 car care events showed that about 80 percent of all vehicles that came in needed some type of service or repair.
“Small steps that motorists take today can go a long way toward improving the safety and reliability of their [used cars],” said Rich White, the executive director of the Car Care Council. “Regular car care can also help avoid costly repairs down the road, saving both time and money.”
To celebrate Fall Car Care Month, hundreds of shops across the nation are offering free checkups for your used cars. You can find one of these shops near you by visiting the Car Care Council’s Web site. You can also visit the website to get more information about recommended service schedules for your used cars and find loads of other information that will help you care for your used vehicles.
