Used cars have come a long way in recent years. There was a time when buying a used car meant purchasing something without the latest safety features. These days, however, that’s not true. Today’s used cars are nearly as good their newer counterparts. Here are a few things you can probably find in used cars today that you couldn’t find in used cars 15 or 20 years ago.
Airbags
Do you remember the days when cars didn’t have airbags? Those days are long gone. These days, they are standard on almost every vehicle. And since they have been a common addition to cars for several years now, most decent used cars you find will have at least a driver’s side airbag and maybe more.
Anti-Lock Brakes
ABS were not always around, but they have been on cars for a long time. This feature helps you maintain control of the car if you need to slam on the brakes. You’ll find ABS on many used cars today.
Safety Belts
If you have ever seen or owned a car that’s like 50 years old, you may have noticed there are no safety belts. That’s why you always hear comedians talk about how they jumped around in the backseat when they were kids. These days, however, you probably can’t find any used cars that do not have safety belts.
These are just a few things you’ll find on today’s used cars that you probably would not have found several years ago. Who knows what you’ll find on used cars 15 or 20 years from now?
