Driving your used cars for a carpool is a great way to save gas, help the environment and get a break from everyday errands. Here are some tips to setting a carpool with a few other families so everybody can share the responsibility of driving and making a positive impact on the environment.
• Involve two to three neighborhood families. It doesn’t make much sense to have a carpool if you have to drive too far to get other people. Whether it’s for your job or for taking the kids to appointments, the other carpooling families should be within a few blocks of where you live.
• Create a written schedule. This helps avoid confusion and it’s a great way to remind everybody of when their scheduled times are to drive in the carpool.
• Have periodic meetings. Communication is the key to any successful carpool. Have regular meetings so each person involved can discuss any concerns or issues they may have with the system.
Use these three tips when creating a carpooling system with your used cars and you’ll be on your way to saving gas money and helping the environment, too!
